What's Up Wednesday (1/25/17)

It's the last Wednesday of the month, so it is time for What's Up Wednesday! Our first one of the new year!

On the last Wednesday of every month I'm linking up with Shay to answer these questions:

1.  What we're eating this week...

I made this caramel apple dip twice this weekend.  I got it from my favorite Mix and Match Momma blog.  I made it once for a get together with my friends and once for a neighbors birthday get together.  I got great compliments both times.  Only three ingredients, and so easy to make!  Don't be surprised if you see this again sometime.

2.  What I'm reminiscing about...

How is my baby almost 1?!  Preparing for her first birthday party has me going through old pictures and I truly can't believe how fast this year has gone by.  I'm not ready for her to transition to the one-year-old room at school and take naps like a big girl.  I'm pretty emotional....lol!

3.  What I'm loving...

The age that Vincent is at.  He's so conversational and full of stories.  Although challenging at times, hello three-year old tantrums, he's still a mommy's boy and so loving and sweet.  I want to freeze time with this boy right here.

4.  What we've been up to...

This year with the baby being so young still, we wanted a low-key New Years Eve.  After being gone that week for Christmas and just getting home, we decided to stay home.  I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned this before here...but we truly are so luck with our neighbors.  They are the best, they are like family!  Our daily home life would not be the same without them here.  Well, we all were talking about our plans for NYE and realized we all had none, so we decided to all get together out in front of our houses and have our own party.

It was so fun, and just what we needed.  After the kids went to bed, Mike and I were able to stay out front with the monitor that we have for the kids rooms, just in case they woke up.  We actually made it to midnight this year, much to my surprise, and I wouldn't have wanted to ring in the new year with anyone else.  We truly are so lucky!

We also have been making good use of our Disney Annual Passes.  This month we got to meet two princesses and ride some fun rides.

Vincent got a special kiss from Princess Tiana, and thought that was just so fun!  The nice thing about having the passes is we can just go for a few hours, see a few things, and not feel guilty about leaving early.  We can go back whenever we want, so it doesn't make you feel like you have to do everything in one day.

5.  What I'm dreading...

I have been having some pain in the ball of my right foot.  I know I need to go to a podiatrist, but I am dreading it.  I also made an appointment with the dermatologist for next month, dreading that too.

6.  What I'm working on...

Planning a first birthday party!  Can you say purple and pink explosion!?

7.  What I'm excited about...

There is a new park that just opened in our neighborhood.  I am not sure if many people know that it's open, because it's almost like we have it to ourselves every time we go.  The equipment is new, and perfect for the age that my kids are at.  I hope it stays our little unknown secret.

I know this may sounds weird, but I am SOOO excited about Costco opening up next month!!  It literally is like two blocks away from my house.  It might increase traffic in my neighborhood, but it will be so nice to have near the house!  I have never had a membership to Sams or Costco, but maybe that's because there has never been one so close to my house.   I'm not really sure how much I will actually purchase there, because we don't buy many things in bulk, but I am super excited for it to finally open.
(We already got our membership cards! lol)

8.  What I'm watching/reading...

Oh yes, it is that time of year again.  I am watching my favorite guilty pleasure, The Bachelor!  This year our group that we watch with created a team in the Bachelor Fantasy Game which makes it even more engaging.

9.  What I'm listening to...

I downloaded the Hamilton soundtrack on Spotify and started listening to that on my runs.  I've never seen the show, but hope to some day.  My dad surprised my mom for Christmas and is taking her to see it in Chicago this year, so jealous!!

10.  What I'm wearing...

I am loving this new pair of jeans that I got from GAP on Black Friday.  They are so comfortable, and I've been looking for a nice pair of ankle jeans that actually fit, these are them!  I have been wearing them everywhere :)

11.  What I'm doing this weekend...

This weekend I am meeting some of my friends for brunch on Saturday, and other than that we don't have many plans (kind of a nice change of things!)

12.  What I'm looking forward to next month...

Although I am not ready for her to be one, I am looking forward to celebrating with our family what an amazing year the last twelve months have been for Arianna's first birthday.  My brother and his family will be here and we are planning to go with them to Disney during their trip.

13.  What else is new...

Last Tuesday I went to a calligraphy class with one of my friends.  I think it is safe to say that I can see how people turn this into a fun hobby!  I am in search of fun things to practice for and ways to incorporate calligraphy into EVERYTHING!

14.  Bonus Question - Who is your favorite Bachelor?

I have been watching this show since the beginning.  I feel like it is part of me, and who I am! lol I love this bonus question this week, especially since it's what I've been spending my time watching after the kids go to bed on Monday nights.  My favorite Bachelor is a tie between two men:

Sean Lowe and Jason Mesnick!  I feel like both of these Bachelors stayed true to their morals and who they were while they were on the show.  Jason's story is a little crazier, since he's now married to the runner-up from his season, but both are still happily married today!

I can tell you with certainty who my least favorite Bachelor is - Juan Pablo! I don't even know how he was chosen to be in that role, he was so rude and just the worst!

Can't wait to see who Nick ends up with after this season!!

XO
