Workin' It Wednesday - Keeping Sane During the Holidays

Happy Wednesday!  Today I'm linking the with Mix and Match Mamma and A Little Bit of Everything for a series where we share how we are working to keep it all together!

I truly have enjoyed this link-up throughout the year, and it was a post that I regularly looked forward to participating in.  I had fun finding out how other ladies/mommas/bloggers out there are workin' it!

In last month's post I talked all about how we get ready for the holidays.  Here we are, just 12 days away from one of my favorite holidays of the year!  This season is BUSY! Busy can be fun, and busy can be stressful.  Here are a few things I do to stay sane during the holidays.

1. Yoga
Practicing yoga and staying active helps reduce my stress levels around the holidays.  After teaching a class, or taking one, I feel so refreshed and centered and able to take on the world!

2. Plan Ahead
As I mentioned last month, I live by my calendar, especially during the holidays. By the end of October, I often find that our weekends for November and December are mostly booked with fun activities.  Planning ahead and knowing what we're going to do to celebrate helps to keep me and my Virgo tendencies sane :)

3.  Savor the Memories
Trying to remind myself to be present and enjoy each moment helps to keep me sane during this busy season.  Living vicariously through my kids and seeing everything again for the first time through their eyes makes all of the planning and activities worth it.  Soon enough, I know that they will be too big for some things, but I hope they will always able to see and know the magic of Christmas.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the recent memories we've already created this season.
