What's Up Wendesday (4/25/18)

This year is flying by friends!  I can't believe it's almost May, April came and went so fast.  Here's a little look at what we've been up to this month...

On the last Wednesday of the month I link-up with Shay to answer these questions:

1.  What we're eating this week...
Mike and I finally had a much needed date night out for Rocco's Tacos, and it was amazing!! #tacotuesday

2.  What I'm reminiscing about...
April 6th would have been our Grandmother's 103rd birthday.  We are missing her and our weekly facetime sessions with the kids, but I know she is always with us and watching over us.

3.  What I'm loving...
I added some decor to the kids bathroom this month, and I am loving it!  Mike's cousin has pictures of her kids in their bathroom from when they were babies, and I always thought it was such a cute idea.  I ordered these canvas' from Canvas On Demand and then custom ordered these prints from Old City Calligraphy.  I think it came out so cute!

I am also loving these cups that I ordered for our trip to Disney this month.  They are so cute, keep the drinks cold, and personalization makes me happy.  Check out the Etsy shop here.

4.  What we've been up to...
We celebrated Easter with family at the beginning of the month...

Mike and I ran the Starkey Ranch 5k, a nice little morning together doing something that we both love (and twinning our outfits unexpectedly)...

We celebrated his Mom's birthday with her on the 19th...

We just got back from another Disney trip.  We had so much fun!! I have so many pictures that I decided it's time for my Disney tips post :)  Here are just a few of my favorites...

5.  What I'm dreading...
You guys, next Month is VPK graduation!! I have so many mixed emotions about him moving into Kindergarten this year, but I'm so proud of everything he's been working to get better at.  He's turning into my big boy, and I couldn't love this kid more!

6.  What I'm working on...
Spring Cleaning, if you missed this month's post, you can see it here.

7.  What I'm excited about...
This has been the same thing I've been excited about for months.  My brother and his family come this month!! I seriously can't wait to see them.

I'm also excited to celebrate 6 years of marriage with my best friend!

8.  What I'm watching/reading...
Keeping to my goals, and still reading through The One Year Bible...

Still into American Idol, I don't have a favorite yet, but am excited for Top 10!

9.  What I'm listening to...
I've been listening/reading "Still Me" by Jojo Moyes on my Audible app, and it is sooooo good!! I love reading the first two books (After You and Me Before You), and now I'm almost done with the third in the trilogy.  You all have to read them!

10.  What I'm wearing...
I got this cute Leith dress for Easter, and plan to wear it to Vincent's VPK graduation.  It fits comfortably, and it comes in so many colors!  This is a must have, and I may end up ordering more colors.  #lovemypurple

I also ordered these blush Toms wedges, and they are so comfortable and will be a staple in my Spring/Summer wardrobe.

11.  What I'm doing this weekend...
This weekend Vincent has soccer, we may go by the pool and possibly go visit Mike's Dad at his new place in The Villages.  I just want to relax during after our busy weekend last weekend.

12.  What I'm looking forward to next month...
In May, I am starting my journey towards my 300hr RYT!! I can't wait to grow and learn more about the yoga practice that I love.  It will be a slow process, but over the next 6 months I will be studying under the most amazing mentor and soaking it all in.

13.  What else is new...
I think that's it for now, we are busy and currently everyone is healthy #thankgod
Looking forward to next month and all of the exciting things ahead!

How We - Spring Clean/Organize

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  Today I'm linking up with  up with Mix and Match Mamma and A Little Bit of Everything to share "how we" spring clean and organize.

Here's the schedule for the rest of the year, if you want to join in too!

You can see my January post here
You can see my February post here
You can see my March post here

I'm going to break today's post into two different parts, organization and spring cleaning.  A fun fact about me is that I'm a way better organizer than I am a cleaner.

Organization
By nature, as a virgo, I thrive best when organized.  #truevirgo

Some of my favorite ways to stay organized are by using checklists and my weekly planner.  I use lists at work and home.  I get a bit of enjoyment out of crossing something off of that list.  It is almost like a sense of accomplishment.

I have a notebook that I use for work to track daily tasks and assignments.  I use the "Notes" feature on my iPhone to track lists for packing and lists for the grocery store or Target.

This is my list from when we went away for Spring Break, you can see that everything was "x" because it was packed - not sure what happened to the cup, lol.  I need to delete this list.

Seriously!  #Ilovelists

I also could not live without my weekly planner.  I love it, and use it daily.  With a busy schedule, it keeps me organized.  Here is a link to a similar Weekly Appointment calendar that I found on Amazon.

Spring Cleaning
In last year's series "Workin' It Wednesday," I blogged about Spring Cleaning and I plan to re-tackle some of the same areas again.  I'm almost embarrassed to share that some of those areas look the same way that they did last year.  I guess that's why we have spring cleaning, right?!

I almost feel like in this season of our lives, my house will always feel a little messy.  With a 2 and 4-year-old who are learning the principles of cleaning up after themselves, sometimes momma just gets tired of always picking up after them.  I love the meme I found below.

This year, the major spring cleaning project I want to tackle are my kids toys!  We are in desperate need of purging and organizing, rather than cleaning.  My kids have so many toys that they don't play with, it's time to get those out of the house!  I am so looking forward to day's link up to get some ideas on this.  How do you get your kids to part with their toys?? Would love to know your tips!!
