Vincent Turns 5!!!!!

Happy happy birthday to my little man!! FIVE years ago today, I became a mommy.  Five feels like a big birthday, we're going through lots of changes, and he's growing so quickly.

Here we are on his 4th birthday last year, finally old enough for Jedi Training Academy!

In tradition, today's post is dedicated to some of my favorite moments with my son over the last year.

Last year I shared a post all about him turning 4.  I can't believe we are already here again at his birthday.  I am so blessed to be his momma.

In tradition, I asked him a few questions to remember some of his favorite things at this age:

What is your favorite color?  Green

What is your favorite toy? Skateboard Ninjas

What is your favorite tv show?  Teen Titans Go and American Ninja Warrior

What is your favorite thing to eat?  Grilled Cheese

Who is your best friend?  Mason

What is your favorite snack? Fruit Snacks

What is your favorite movie?  Cat In The Hat

Happy 5th Birthday Vincent Whalen Florio!! Mommy and Daddy love you to the moon and back!

What's Up Wednesday (8/29/18)

Hi everyone!! It's August's What's Up Wednesday, on a Tuesday, because tomorrow my little man turns 5!! I want tomorrow's post to be all about him.  Here's a little look at what we've been up to this month...

On the last Wednesday of the month I link-up with Shay to answer these questions:

1.  What we're eating this week...
Tacos! The "taco bar will be open" at our annual cousin's get together.  I also made a trip to Trader Joe's this weekend because I ran out of my Everything But the Bagel seasoning, I love this stuff!

2.  What I'm reminiscing about...
Did you guys see my post about Arianna's half birthday?  She really has changed so much in the last six months, before I know it she'll be three.

I also can't believe that I have been blogging for THREE years!  You can read all about that here.

3.  What I'm loving...
How cute is my girl dressed up as Anna?! The wig takes it to another level, I can't stand it!

She was tall enough to finally ride the hippo ride at Busch Gardens with her brother the other day, and she was soooo happy!

4.  What we've been up to...
We survived the first day of Kindergarten and the first few weeks have taken some  time to get used to our new schedule and life in general.

We went to the Bucs training camp public practice, and got to see their new indoor practice facility.  It is great! So nice to be indoors in the a/c and watch some of my favorite players get ready for the season.

We celebrated Mia's 5th Birthday with a unicorn-themed skating party, and the kids loved their fist time roller-skating.  I was definitely nervous that they would fall and break something, but the did great!

We celebrated Vincent's 5th Birthday with a Marvel-themed bowling bash! It was the perfect party, and I'll share more about it in a future post.

5.  What I'm dreading...
Right now I'm not dreading anything, and that's a good thing!

6.  What I'm working on...
I had two special events this month for yoga, and they were both great.  I love doing things for brides or brides-to-be, and this past weekend's bachelorette session was so fun!

7.  What I'm excited about...
In less than two months I'll be heading to a yoga retreat in the mountains of Georgia with my sister-in-law.  I am counting down the days, and looking forward to an amazing trip!  Can you say, fall weather, leaves changing, wine, and yoga? What else could you want?!

8.  What I'm watching/reading...
Still working my way through my The One Year Bible and finding moments for gratitude in each day...

I just finished reading What She Knew about the abduction of an 8-year-old boy, and it kept me on my seat the entire time.  You don't find out what happens until the very end.  It was hard to read as a momma, but I loved the story and the way it was written.

I went to watch the documentary Made For More  from the author of Girl Wash Your Face, and you guys, despite the technical difficulties at the theatre we went to, it made me love her more!! Her words were true, her spirit was high, and it was truly inspirational.

My guess was right, and The Bachelorette picked Garrett and I love that pick for her!  I also felt like Blake would have been good, and definitely felt bad for him that she cut him loose the way that she did...

We're still keeping up with three episodes of Big Brother every week...

9.  What I'm listening to...
Vincent has started to sing Drake's "In My Feelings," the new Billboard 100 song of the summer.  This is what Kindergarten has done to him! Now he's rapping! Lol, he came home singing it one day and told me his new friend taught him all of the words.

10.  What I'm wearing...
I recently got these two new pairs of jeans, and I am obsessed with both pairs!  I have been trying new brands through the Nordstrom sales, and I am so glad that I took a chance on these.  They fit my curvier body perfectly, and make me feel good about myself. Both pair are also under $100!
You can find the denim ones here
You can find the black ones here

11.  What I'm doing this weekend...
We've got our annual cousins Labor Day weekend celebration all planned and ready.  This is a weekend I look forward to every year!  We might sneak a little trip to Disney in there to celebrate a big 5th birthday with the kids on our way out there.

12.  What I'm looking forward to next month...
Football and birthdays!  In September I celebrate my brother and I's birthday month!  I am also planning to take Vincent to his first football game in Tallahassee to see our SEMINOLES!! It's going to be amazing to show him where mommy went to school.

13.  What else is new...
My brother-in-law had major surgery on Monday, we could use prayers for quick healing and recovery for him.  He's doing great, and I know that he'll be better than ever very soon.

14.  Bonus Question - What is your favorite back-to-school tradition...
My favorite back-to-school tradition is shopping for all of the clothes and school supplies.  We are looking to start new traditions, as this was Vincent's first year of Kindergarten.  I think my favorite part of the day this year was going for ice cream at the end of the day to celebrate.
