What's Up Wednesday (12/28/18)

It's What's Up Wednesday, on a Friday, because we just got our Internet back yesterday after no service for almost a week!  Only 4 days left of 2018, and I can't believe this year has already come and gone.  We are looking forward to what 2019 brings! We have been busy keeping busy and celebrating the holiday season.  Here's a little look at what we've been up to this month :)

On the last Wednesday of the month I link-up with Shay to answer these questions:

1.  What we're eating this week...
Can you say everything?! After two cookie parties, Christmas, I am in need of a serious detox! I am actually planning to re-do the Today Show 3-day detox again that I did this January.

2.  What I'm reminiscing about...
An amazing 2018!

3.  What I'm loving...
I love all of the traditions that this time of year brings.  This year we created a new one by driving around a random weeknight to look at the Christmas lights and we also watched Home Alone with the kids.  One of my very favorite traditions is my annual Dixie Chicks Christmas gift exchange/dinner.  This year we stepped it up a notch and went to Berns Steakhouse.  It was such a fun night, here are some of my favorite pictures from that night.

Love having these amazing women as part of my life!

4.  What we've been up to...
All things Christmas!  We had very little down time this month, and looking at all of these pictures reminds me why.  I'm tired, but it's worth it to have these moments with the kids at this age.

ChiChi the elf made his return...

We of course had our Christmas jammies...

Two cookie parties...

Our neighborhood has an annual parade where Santa pays a visit and collects toys for kids...

Christmas lights in the park with friends...

Making gingerbread houses...

Seeing Santa!  Maybe next year will be the year that Arianna is not afraid...

Disney...

More gingerbread houses, this time at Vincent's school...

I took Arianna on a solo trip to Disney because Vincent had school.  She had the best day!  We did everything she wanted to do and had a day full of princess magic...

Busch Gardens for Christmas Town...

An amazing Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our family...

5.  What I'm dreading...
I still haven't taken down the decorations, but I plan to do that this weekend.  I'm also dreading flu season!  With two small kids, germs are everywhere! I don't like this time of year.

6.  What I'm working on...
I finished the last 90 day challenge.  I feel stronger than I did at the beginning of October.  My body craves more water, and I'm ready to start 2019 stronger!

7.  What I'm excited about...
Arianna starts dance next month, and I am so excited to watch her grow as a dancer :)  We tried out a class last month, and she's been talking about it ever since.  Santa brought her ballet and tap shoes, so she's ready to start on January 12th.

8.  What I'm watching/reading...
Still working my way through my The One Year Bible.  I have a little under one month left, so I won't finish by the 31st, but I will finish in January.  I can't wait to achieve this goal and be able to say that I've read the bible!

I am almost done with Nine Perfect StrangersI had no idea when I started reading this book that it was about a wellness retreat, and it has me totally hooked...

9.  What I'm listening to...
"Alexa, what's the weather"..."Alexa, play Feliz Navidad"
Santa brought us all a new toy and we are having fun figuring out the amazing things that technology can do!

10.  What I'm wearing...
All things stretchy because...#holidaypounds

11.  What I'm doing this weekend...
Taking down Christmas and spending a long 4-day weekend with the kids before I go back to work on the 2nd.

12.  What I'm looking forward to next month...
Planning our trip to Las Vegas :) I surprised Mike with a trip to Las Vegas in February for Christmas, and now that he knows, we can plan for it.

13.  What else is new...
Since October, both kids have been in swim lessons.  A few weeks ago, they both moved up to the next level.  I am so proud of their progress and improvements.  So we celebrated with a trip to the mall to ride the carousel!

I'm working on a 2018 Year in Review post, so be sure to check back on NYE to see some of my favorite memories from this year!
