What's Up Wednesday (3/27/19)

It's the last week of March, and we spent last week on Spring Break with our family at Disney World! Coming back to the real world this week has been hard!

On the last Wednesday of the month I link-up with Shay and Sheaffer to answer these questions:

1.  What we're eating this week...
Can you say Mickey Mouse waffles?  Well, that wasn't this week, but last week, and they were so good! I highly recommend Chef Mickey's for great food, and a chance for 1:1 time with the major Disney characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy)

This week I'm trying to get back on track!

2.  What I'm reminiscing about...
Vincent's first official Spring Break!  We have been planning a trip to Orlando and Disney with my brother and his family for over six months.  We had a little hiccup at the beginning, with Vincent getting the stomach virus, but it turned out to be a great trip!

The magic of Disney!  That's my niece, Maisie, behind the curtain with Rapunzel

Was so glad he was able to join us on the last day of our trip!

3.  What I'm loving...
This new blow dryer that I finally got that everyone was talking about!  I got it on Amazon with 20% off, and I have loved using it.  It dries my hair so quickly, and the style holds for a few days.

4.  What we've been up to...
We celebrated my mom's birthday at the beginning of the month.  Her and I went to our first Apron's cooking class at Publix, and it was so fun! We will definitely be going back...

Tball...

Amazing night at Hamilton with my parents...

I volunteered to paint faces at Vincent's first Field Day...

We had a visit from "Larry the Leprechaun"...

Attempting to take family pictures with my brother and his family...

5.  What I'm dreading...
In a few weeks Vincent has his final testing of the year for school.  He didn't do great on his last test, because he rushed through it.  I am nervous for him, but just hoping that he'll do his best.

6.  What I'm working on...
I hosted a hip hop yoga class on the 1st of this month, and it meant so much to have my friends show up for me! Having friends support you means the world!

I'm working on my next workshop, April 12th, Slow Flow with Divine Sleep (®) Yoga Nidra.  This will be my first time teaching the yoga nidra since my certification in February, and I am very excited to bring it to our studio.

I love the way that this article easily articulates the benefits you can receive from this practice: https://www.yogajournal.com/practice-section/3-reasons-we-need-yoga-nidra-now-more-than-ever

7.  What I'm excited about...
I hit a huge personal goal this month, 250 classes at Pure Barre!  I started doing the workout after I had Vincent, and through my pregnancy with Arianna.  When I include Barre classes more regularly in my workout routine, I can totally see a difference in my body.  Very proud of myself for hitting this milestone!  Most of my classes are done at 6am, before the sun and before my babies wake up and need to get ready for school.

8.  What I'm watching/reading...
I finished "Where the Crawdads Sing"...and it is one of my favorites!

9.  What I'm listening to...
Hamilton was AMAZING!! I totally get all of the raves about this musical now.  Since we saw the show earlier this month, Mike and I have been listening to the soundtrack on repeat, with the kids.  It's so cute to hear Vincent and Arianna walking around the house saying "I am not going to miss my shot!"

10.  What I'm wearing...
I got this jacket from Old Navy, and I wore it for our entire trip to Orlando.  The weather was cool, and it was perfect! I have worn it almost every day since I bought it.  I have the same one in the darker wash, but have been wanting this lighter wash for a while.  I am so glad that I got it.

11.  What I'm doing this weekend...
Dance and baseball, back to the regular routine.  I'm also taking my Dad to a Tampa Bay Lightning game, which will be super fun!

12.  What I'm looking forward to next month...
Easter with my family in Cincinnati.  The kids have never been to Ohio, and I am so excited to take them there and visit with family for the Easter weekend!

13.  What else is new...
This month was rough for our little family.  Both kids earned themselves a trip to the ER with viruses that we could not get under control.  Arianna was first with a 104.3 fever, and a diagnosed upper respiratory virus and sinus infection.  This kept her home for almost an entire week.  Then, last Friday, right before our trip with family, Vincent got hit with the stomach virus.  Saturday I took him to urgent care, just to make sure that nothing else was going on, and then Sunday we went to the ER when he continued to throw up on Zofran (anti-nausea).  He got some fluids and sugar through IV, and then still needed a few days after that to return back to himself.

Seeing my kids so sick, and being in that hospital, puts your priorities into check, and reminds you how lucky you are to have two healthy kids.  Please pray that next month will be happier and healthier for my babies!

14.  Bonus Question...What's your favorite Easter side dish?
Do Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs count?! lol, but seriously!? My favorite!

XO

Shari
