What's Up Wednesday (June/July 2019)

Tomorrow is August 1st and today is my first What's Up Wednesday of the summer.  Friends, we have been so busy, blogging has taken a backseat to all of our summer fun.  Today I'm back and excited to share everything that we've been up to this summer, and since it's been so long, it means I have lots of pictures to share.

On the last Wednesday of the month I link-up with Shay and Sheaffer to answer these questions:

1.  What we're eating this week...

On Sunday I made a trip to Trader Joe's after yoga, and picked up all of the things I love the most.  Cauliflower Gnocchi, Mahi Burgers, Cauliflower Fried Rice, and the ingredients to make "Egg Roll in a Bowl,"  we're eating good at our house this week!  I wish there was a Trader Joe's closer to the house, because I also bought myself $4 flowers and they are gorgeous!

2.  What I'm reminiscing about...
An amazing summer with our family.  It really has flown by, and I can't believe we start school in 12 days.

We have been swimming...

Teaching yoga...

Going to see all of the summer movies...

Date night...

#repeat

There was some work in there too, but no pictures of that, because well, that's boring!

3.  What I'm loving...
I am loving Arianna's lack of fear!  She started gymnastics this summer...

and is now basically a pro...

She inspires me everyday! She puts her mind to something and doesn't quick.  I have SO much love for my almost 3.5-year-old.

4.  What we've been up to...
If you missed my "Lets Look" post from this month, I covered what a typical day looks like for me.  You can see that blog post here.  Workout, work, love on my family, REPEAT.

We started the month with Arianna's first dance recital, and she was amazing...

Vincent finally left daycare and started summer camp!  He absolutely thrived in getting to know new people and new things this summer...

Celebrated Mike's birthday...

We let Vincent go on his first overnight trip without us to Papa and Grammy's house.  I was so excited to get him back after a week...

Time spent with best friends...

Time spent with goofy kids...

I participated in Michelob Ultra Movement event out at St. Pete Beach...

We celebrated the 4th of July, by spending it at the walk-in clinic with strep throat!  Luckily after some Motrin, Vincent was up and ready for some fireworks in the driveway...

My mom and I went to see Hugh Jackman, and he was amazing...

We visited family in town from Las Vegas with a mini stay-cation in Orlando...

I had to take a last minute trip to Oklahoma City for work, there are worse places to visit...

We celebrated a family field trip with Mike and his friend Megan to spend more time with the kids before school starts...

I took Arianna to see Paw Patrol Live, special 1:1 time with my girl...

Our days have been filled with a lot of rain, but the rainbows are always there...

5.  What I'm dreading...
Waking up the kids early every day for school, but getting back into a routine makes me happy.

6.  What I'm working on...
Making my audacious dreams come true!  One of the tools that Rachel Hollis taught us at the RISE conference was to identify 10 of your wildest dreams.  Pick ONE, and decide to work on that through a road map and small milestones to get you there.

7.  What I'm excited about...
This month I got to spend 2 days on myself, and attended my first personal development conference, RISE.  It was in Dallas, and I was one of 7,400 women that got to participate.  I am excited about the energy I came back with from the conference.  I'm excited about the tools I was taught, and I'm excited about my new outlook on my future.  I can not recommend this conference enough to ANYONE wanting to pursue their goals and get inspired about their life.

I was happy to come home, knowing that these sweet babies were there waiting for me...

8.  What I'm watching/reading...
I finished reading Girl Stop Apologizing in preparation for my trip to RISE.

I am reading There's Something in the Water, and have loved this book so far!

I am also reading On Being Human, by Jennifer Pastiloff, and the early parts of the book remind me of her workshop that I attended in Tampa a few years ago.  Can't wait to finish reading this book.

9.  What I'm listening to...
Ed Sheeran's new musical collaborations are on FIRE, I love each of the songs.

10.  What I'm wearing...
I have been shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and these are my top picks! I'm ready for the fall!  The sale lasts through the 5th, get the items for a discount while you can.

Drape Blazer (comes in 6 colors)

Booties (comes in 7 colors)

Two-Way Camis (I got black and white, LOVE!)

11.  What I'm doing this weekend...
Celebrating Mia's 6th birthday and possibly going to see the Rays vs. the Marlins.

12.  What I'm looking forward to next month...
Celebrating a very special boy's 6th birthday!

13.  What else is new...
Vincent tried pop rocks for the first time, and let's just say it was epic!  Arianna wanted nothing to do with it :)

Rounding out the summer and moving into my favorite time of the year, FALL y'all.  Thanks for your continued support!

XO

Shari

  1. Other than the strep throat that sounds like a really wonderful month! (we were at our walk-in clinic that weekend with Lyme)… never a dull moment with kids!

    1. With kids, it is definitely always something, but I wouldn't trade it for the world!!
