What's Up Wednesday (12/18/19)

This year is almost over! I truly can't believe it.  What an amazing year it's been.  It's only been two weeks since my last What's Up Wednesday post, but we've been very busy so I have a lot to share!  Check out everything we have been up to!

On the last Wednesday of the month I link-up with Shay and Sheaffer to answer these questions:

1.  What we're eating this week...

I made my mom's turkey bone soup recipe with the Thanksgiving leftovers.  I stored some in the freezer for when the temps or my belly call for it!

I also made crock pot white chicken chili this week, it came out soo good!

2.  What I'm reminiscing about...
The last decade!  There's something special about the new year, especially when it's the start of a new decade.  You all, the last 10 years, have been the best of my life!!

  • I got engaged
  • We bought a house
  • I got married
  • I had my two kids
  • I became a yoga teacher
So many big, and amazing things over the last 10 years, I am so excited to see what the next will bring!!

3.  What I'm loving...
1:1 time with my sweet girl.  She tagged along with me and my friends for brunch the other day, and she loved it!!

4.  What we've been up to...
When we got back from out trip for Thanksgiving, our first priority was putting up our Christmas decorations!  We always purchase a fresh tree from the lot at my son's school...

We went to see Enchant Christmas, St. Petersburg, and had so much fun!  It definitely put us in the Christmas spirit, and the kids had a blast finding all of Santa's reindeer in the light maze....

I celebrated one of my favorite nights of the year with my Dixie Chicks....

I celebrated the holidays with the ladies of Green Locus Yoga...

Arianna had her Winter Showcase at gymnastics, and showed off everything she's learned this year...

Vincent's hockey team at his after school program made it to the championship game, and they won!!  We have a party to celebrate his participation in the fall sports program on Thursday night...

We tried something new this year, and attending a cookie decorating event at our local golf club.  We had a great time, and would definitely like to make this a little tradition of ours...

We missed out on a trip to Disney because Arianna wasn't feeling well, but were able to catch our annual neighborhood parade...

We went to Hyde Park to get festive and enjoy a night together as a family...

The kids are still in swim lessons, and loved swimming in their clothes and next to each other during safety week...

5.  What I'm dreading...
This has not changed since my last post, lol!  Taking down all of the holiday decorations.  I love having the house decorated, but hate taking everything back down and putting it away.

6.  What I'm working on...
I only have two weeks left of my Last 90 Days challenge.  I have stayed committed to the promise I made to myself to finish out this year stronger than I started it!  I haven't had chocolate since September 30th you guys!! I am dreaming about what kind of chocolate I want to indulge in on New Years, but honestly, it may not even be that satisfying.  I'm so proud of what I accomplished and you can read more about this challenge here.

7.  What I'm excited about...
Seeing the kids faces on Christmas morning!  Santa was good to them this year!

8.  What I'm watching/reading...
I finished reading a book my husband recommended, Living With Seal.  It was one of my favorite reads of this year!

I am also reading One Day in December with my friends, and I'm enjoying it so far.   It's not placed in December entirely, so it's a book that could be read anytime of the year.

9.  What I'm listening to...
Christmas music!

10.  What I'm wearing...
Still wearing my favorite jean jacket from Old Navy, and super excited to wear these pajamas that I got from Nordstrom.  Both for sleeping and lounge outfit out of the house? I think so!

11.  What I'm doing this weekend...
This weekend we are going to visit with Mike's cousins and then I have an annual cookie exchange that I look forward to every year.

12.  What I'm looking forward to next month...
Kicking off 2020 as strong as I finished 2019.  Keeping my daily habits and becoming the best version of myself I can be.

13.  What else is new...
We're dealing with some health issues for this little puppy!  Please keep her in your prayers, getting old isn't easy folks!

Wishing you all an amazing holiday with your family and loved ones.  Get ready for an amazing new year, I've got a feeling it's going to be a good one!

XO

Shari
