What's Up Wednesday (1/29/20)

Happy New Year!! I feel like it's been a long time since I blogged with you all, but it's only been about a month.  That month was spent celebrating all of the holidays with family and ringing in the new decade. We've been settling back into our regular routine, and I'm so happy to be back today for one of my favorite link-ups!  Here's a little look at what we've been up to in the Florio house :)

On the last Wednesday of the month I link-up with Shay and Sheaffer to answer these questions:

1.  What we're eating this week...

Salmon and veggies! Still working to shed the holiday fluff!

....and then all of the snacks for Super Bowl...lol, it's all about the balance right?

2.  What I'm reminiscing about...
We had such a nice Christmas!  Christmas Eve was spent at my parents house and then everyone was together at our house on Christmas.

3.  What I'm loving...
I made it 90 days without chocolate ya'll!  I didn't realize how much I missed it, so I am loving some chocolate every now and then again.  I am so proud of myself for completing the #last90days challenge, you can do hard things if you just put your mind to it!

4.  What we've been up to...
We kicked off the new year with a fun NYE celebration with some of our closest friends...

We've been playing with "most" of our new Christmas gifts...

Date nights with friends...

Wearing our thick jackets for the cold Florida temps...

Date nights, celebrating a friend's 40th....

We got annual passes to Horsepower for Kids, and Arianna rode a horse for the first time...

We spent the holiday off of school at Hollywood Studios with my parents...

Both kids had their faces painted for the first time at Disney...

We celebrated 100 days of first grade...

Vincent went to an escape room birthday party...

5.  What I'm dreading...
Coordinating taking Vincent between basketball and baseball.  We will have a few busy weeks with both sports in February and early March until basketball is up!

6.  What I'm working on...
Planning spring break and the details to our summer cruise.

7.  What I'm excited about...
Celebrating Arianna's birthday with a Descendants gymnastics party!

8.  What I'm watching/reading...
This is Us is back!

I finished listening to One Day in December on Audible, and I loved it!  It was a cute story that kept you engaged until the end.

I also just finished listening to The Turn of the Key, which I think is my second Ruth Ware book.  It draws you in and leaves you on the edge of your seat until the end of the book.  As much as I say I don't enjoy "thrillers", I liked this book!

I also started reading The Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren on January 1st.  It breaks out the book into 40 days of reading and study.  This book has been so meaningful to me, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to deepen their connection with God and focus on their faith and understanding of why we are all here.

9.  What I'm listening to...
Give me all of the Grammy's New Artist of the Year songs by Billie Eilish

10.  What I'm wearing...
I am still loving and wearing this skirt I got at Nordstrom.  I wore it on Christmas, I wear it to work, I wear it all the time!

11.  What I'm doing this weekend...
Last weekend Vincent started basketball.  New year, new sport!  He is loving it, and has been practicing a lot with his new hoop he got for Christmas.  He's got a lot to learn, but it's fun to watch him grow.

I'm also celebrating one of my best friend's birthdays, so I'm looking forward to that!

12.  What I'm looking forward to next month...
I love getting the kids ready for Valentines celebrations at their schools and February is also the month that we celebrate Arianna and my Dad's birthdays!  Throw in a camping trip and a Disney 10k, and it's going to be a busy and fun month!

13.  What else is new...
I have been working with some of my closest friends to plan our 20-year high school reunion.  How is that even possible? I can't be that old! lol  We've been really busy, living life to the fullest, and I have missed you guys!  Thanks for sticking around :)

XO
