What's Up Wednesday (6/24/20)

I looked at my calendar today and realized it's the last Wednesday of the month, which means, What's Up Wednesday! I can't believe the end of June is already here.  This month has flown by.  Here's a look at what we've been up to this month!
On the last Wednesday of the month I link-up with Shay and Sheaffer to answer these questions:

1.  What we're eating this week...

On Father's Day, I made fettuccine alfredo and shrimp!  Simple and delicious.  I also made a run to Trader Joes last week, and I have been so happy to have some of my favorite TJ staples back in my house.

2.  What I'm reminiscing about...
This month we celebrated a milestone birthday for my hubby! It was not the birthday celebration I had hoped to plan for him, but it ended up being his perfect way to have a low-key celebration for that day.  Yard sign, pizza, family, wine...what else could you ask for?

3.  What I'm loving...
Over the last few months, Vincent has grown super close with our animals.  He's obsessed, and I love the bond they have created.

4.  What we've been up to...
We took the kids to my parents for a few days while we redecorated their rooms...they had no fun at all...lol!

My princess finishes her second year of dance with a photo shoot in front of our house...

I ordered candles from Magic Candle Company, per Mix and Match Mama's recommendation, and they are reminding me of being a Disney...

I took some time off of work to spend time with my first born, after he was feeling lonely when we sent his sister back to school...

Vincent started basketball camp this week...

We got to celebrate Father's Day with both of our Dads.  It is not lost on me how lucky we are to still have them around and to make these memories with our kids.  A special day for sure...

5.  What I'm dreading...
Right now I am dreading the waiting game finding out what is going to happen with Elementary School this year.  My hopes that this virus will be at bay are gone, and it's truly frightening as a parent.  I am hoping and praying for some clarity on what the options will be and then the strength to make the best decision for our family.

6.  What I'm working on...
This month I hit a huge personal goal at my local Pure Barre studio.  500 classes!! Even during quarantine I got my movement in every day, and was able to keep pushing and working towards this goal.

7.  What I'm excited about...
Even though Florida cases are going up, both of my kids are back into group activities.  Arianna went back to daycare last week, and Vincent is in basketball camp this week.  I miss them, the house is quiet, but I'm also excited that they are having fun and happy that they can have a small sense of normalcy during these crazy times.

8.  What I'm watching/reading...
I binge watched Outer Banks on Netflix in 3 days!! I hope it gets picked up for a 2nd season and will air soon!

I am still reading Everything Is Figureoutableenjoying how relatable Marie is and how she narrates her experiences.

I also finished Little Fires Everywhere on Audible.  It was great!  My book club is getting together today for the first time in months to discuss.

9.  What I'm listening to...
The Hamilton soundtrack on Spotify because it comes out on Disney + next week!! Can't wait for this! I am hoping our kids love it as much as Mike and I do.

10.  What I'm wearing...
New brows! I got my eyebrows microbladed two weeks ago by one of the best in the business.  They are looking awesome and I'm so happy I finally took the plunge to get them done!

11.  What I'm doing this weekend...
This weekend we are laying low after traveling to see Mike's Dad last weekend for Father's Day.  We are getting a new roof on Monday, so we will probably need to clear our patio area to avoid getting debris on our furniture.

12.  What I'm looking forward to next month...
July 4th is one of my favorite holidays!! It will look different this year than it has in the past, but we will celebrate anyways.  We also have a fun beach vacation planned with family at the end of the month, I have been counting down the days!

13.  What else is new...
Now that my kids are out of the house during the day, for this week anyways, I have been thinking back on the time we spent together as a family for 14 weeks together.  It was hard, it was a struggle, but it was also priceless.  I do not think in my lifetime, that I will ever have an opportunity for that much time together again.  I'm so glad my babies have each other, and I pray for continued safety for my family and all of you!

XO
