Happy New Year everyone! It is crazy that this is my first blog post of the new year. These link-ups are my favorite and something I look forward to every month. Honestly, with everything that has gone on throughout the last year, these posts are pretty much the only blog posts happening these days. I am grateful for them and grateful to you for continuing to read them! So far 2021 has looked a lot like 2020, here's a look at what we've been up to so far this year :)
1. What we're eating this week...
I made chili in the crock pot for dinner this weekend and we've got tons of leftovers to take us through the rest of the week. I love how easy chili is to make and how tasty it is, especially on the cooler days.
2. What I'm reminiscing about...
We are missing our Minnie girl, it's been a little over a month without her. One of the silver linings to her being gone is that Roxy has been stuck to me like glue! She's always been my sidekick, but the snuggles have duplicated now that she's an "only child".
3. What I'm loving...
I treated myself to The Rocks tequila, Teremana, and it lived up to the hype! I mixed it with soda, lime juice and agave and it hit the spot...
4. What we've been up to...
As we all knew it would be, 2021 looks a lot like 2020 so far. We haven't done much and continue to stay inside of our little quarantine bubble. After our exposure last month, being at home is our favorite place to be. I imagine it will be that way for some time.
I started out the month with brunch with my bestie and her adorable daughter who is almost 1...
5. What I'm dreading...
With Arianna's birthday next month and her turning 5, that means Kindergarten is right around the corner! It is bittersweet, and something that I am looking forward to, but also something I wish time would just slow down a little bit.
6. What I'm working on...
On New Years Day I attended one of my favorite workshops, Soulful Start, led by one of my yoga mentors. Through a series of journaling, movement and meditation, I was able to identify my word for the year, and in 2021 I am AUTHENTIC! This word speaks to me for so many reasons, and it is something that I will be working to embody ALL YEAR LONG. After the workshop, I grabbed my babies, and we ran out to the beach. It was magical and a day that I will remember and the perfect way to kick off the year...
7. What I'm excited about...
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are back in the Super Bowl!! WHAT?! How did that happen? Is Tom Brady really still our quarterback, and did we really win the NFC Championship? I was born and raised in the bay area, and Tampa is my current city. I could not be more thrilled to be rooting these boys on as they make history as the first team to have home-field advantage in the Super Bowl. My excitement will be next level for the days leading up to the big game.
8. What I'm watching/reading...
Currently reading "The Other Mrs" by Mary Kubica, and it is so good! I needed something more thrilling after last month's novel about Hamptons living.
9. What I'm listening to...
I am still loving the new Taylor Swift album, and every other week Justin Bieber is coming out with a new hit single. It's like I am living my best pop star life on my Spotify recently played hits list.
10. What I'm wearing...
Florida can not make up it's mind if it is heading into Spring, or still going through Winter. I am alternating between sweats, loungewear, jeans and tshirts. How cute is this shirt that I just ordered from Nordstrom? I am so excited to wear it!!

11. What I'm doing this weekend...
Flag football and basketball for V, 5-year-old photo shoot for A. Also spending time with one of my best girls since college, and very much looking forward to catching up with her!
12. What I'm looking forward to next month...
13. What else is new...
Today I am lucky enough to receive my 2nd dose of the COVID vaccine. The relief I feel is amazing, but I also feel guilty for being able to get it sooner than many who I feel like need it more than I do. I am so grateful to work for an organization that allowed me the opportunity to vaccinate and that my parents and I will be fully vaccinated prior to my cousin's upcoming wedding. The rest of my family is not able to get the vaccine yet, so it will still be life as normal around here, but I am still so thankful that this day has come for me. A day that I will remember forever. Stay safe everyone!
XO
Shari
Oh, yay that you are fully vaccinated! Around here, I likely won't be vaccinated until the summer. Ugh. That feels so far away. Enjoy your cousin's wedding!
