What's Up Wednesday (5/26/21)

May is almost over and we only have two more days left of school!  We have had a very busy month over here in the Florio house.  Tomorrow, Mike and I celebrate 9 years of marriage! We have had been slammed with tons of fun activities this month and I'm excited to tell you what we've been up to in this month's What's Up Wednesday post.

On the last Wednesday of the month I link-up with Shay and Sheaffer to answer these questions:

1.  What we're eating this week...
We are celebrating our VPK graduate with our favorite cookies from Hayley Cakes and Cookies in Austin, TX.  Yep, we love them so much that we have them shipped to Florida for special celebrations like this!  I highly recommend them, and supporting a small woman-owned business is also a huge plus!

2.  What I'm reminiscing about...
Last night my baby graduated from preschool! It feels like just yesterday that I was emotional about dropping her off at daycare for the first time, and now we're getting ready to start Kindergarten in the fall.  This year, unlike any other, was certainly a challenge for her daycare to stay open and keep teaching these kids.  I am so proud of her and her classmates put on an amazing show last night for the moms and dads who haven't been able to go inside of their school all year.  All the emotions over here!

3.  What I'm loving...
On Sunday, one of my best friends and I took our girls to afternoon tea.  Arianna loved getting ready and was truly excited.  The food was amazing and I loved my 1:1 time with my girl, especially with her milestones this week.

4.  What we've been up to...
Friday night lights!  Cheering on the Eagles every Friday night...

I got to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom and mother-in-law...

These kids were there too...

We hit up another NBA game as a family...

This was my view on Mother's Day, no kids, paradise...

I got to meet my besties baby!  He's the sweetest...

This girl was there too...

We celebrated with ice cream on the way home...

At one of the flag football games, the Lombardi trophy was on display! How cool was that?!...

These boys made it all the way to the Championship game after 2 overtime playoff wins.  I could not have been more proud of these boys...

Mike and I escaped to St Augustine for a few days to celebrate our anniversary early...

Last week I checked the kids out of school early for an "appointment" with Mom, and we went to Altitudes!  The kids had so much fun, and so did I...

Ariana had her dance recital to celebrate the end of an amazing year in dance...

Yesterday was an amazing night celebrating her graduation from preschool...

5.  What I'm dreading...
Now that we've got preschool graduation out of the way, now I'm dreading the first day of Kindergarten for my baby girl! I am thrilled to have both kids at the same school, but I know that will be an emotional day for this momma.

6.  What I'm working on...
Finalizing plans for our 20-year high school reunion!

7.  What I'm excited about...
This weekend I get to see my brother and his family! I seriously can not wait!  Here are some pictures from our last time together, March 2019.

8.  What I'm watching/reading...
I am still working my way through Clarity and Connection, by Yung Pueblo.

I finished reading The Family Next Doorby Sally Hepworth.  With May being mental health awareness month, I think this book is a great read and really sheds visibility on life with mental health issues.  I highly recommend this read!

9.  What I'm listening to...
Arianna was practicing for her graduation, so I have been listening to her singing the Florida Alphabet song all month long!

10.  What I'm wearing...
I bought this dress a few years ago, but it is still available on Target's website.  It is so comfortable, and flattering.  I have worn it to a baby shower, and now a dance recital.  Go get it!

11.  What I'm doing this weekend...
Celebrating Memorial Day with my family!

12.  What I'm looking forward to next month...
June is a celebration for my husband.  His birthday is early in the month, on the 4th. Then a few weeks later we will celebrate Father's Day!

13.  What else is new...
Happy Anniversary Mike! I can not imagine doing this life without you. I love the family and life that we have built together over the last 9 years. You are my #1 and the calm to my storm.

XO
